MICRO-DUCT CONDUIT PROPRIETARY MICRO-COM® SYSTEM

Engineered for Efficiency

Our proprietary Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit is a high-density bundled-duct system that gives each fiber strand or bundle its own dedicated pathway. Micro-Duct is built for projects where every inch of duct space counts and crews need to pull fiber fast.

The Foundation for

Scalable Fiber Growth

Our Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit is a high-density system that bundles multiple small-diameter HDPE ducts together so individual fiber strands or small fiber bundles can be pulled into their own dedicated path. The compact bundle profile reduces trench size and pulls more fiber capacity through tighter installation conditions than traditional individual conduit.

OMNI's Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit system is engineered specifically for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), last-mile, and dense urban fiber builds where space is constrained and project schedules are tight. Each duct in the bundle accepts a fiber pull independently, giving installers flexibility to deploy fiber in phases as service demand grows.

WHY CHOOSE OMNI

OMNI Micro-Com® Micro-Duct

Installing more fiber in less space has become a priority as FTTH, last-mile, and urban broadband projects continue to expand. Network owners, engineers, and contractors source Micro-Duct from OMNI for three main reasons.

High-Density Configurations

OMNI manufactures Micro-Com conduit in standard high-density bundles plus custom configurations on request, so engineers can specify the exact pathway count their project demands.

Real People Behind the Product

When a contractor needs Micro-Duct conduit on a tight schedule or an engineer needs a configuration outside the catalog, an OMNI team member is ready to assist.

Choosing Between Multi-Duct & Micro-Duct Conduit Systems

Our proprietary Multi-Duct conduit and Micro-Duct conduit systems both consolidate fiber pathways, but they're engineered for different scales of build.

Micro-Duct is sized for FTTH and last-mile builds. Multi-Duct is the standard for high-density backbone, bridge crossings, and DOT corridors.

 What Telecom Customers Say

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Micro-Com® Micro-Duct Conduit

What is Micro-Duct conduit?

Micro-Duct conduit is a high-density bundled-duct system that combines multiple small-diameter HDPE ducts into a single compact run, typically using 7-, 12-, or 19-way pathways. Each duct accepts a fiber pull independently, making Micro-Duct conduit ideal for fiber-to-the-home and last-mile applications. We manufacture Micro-Duct conduit under the proprietary name Micro-Com®.

Micro-Duct conduit is the right choice when each fiber strand or small bundle needs its own dedicated path, such as in FTTH, last-mile, and dense urban backbone builds. For high-density backbone fiber and large-scale infrastructure projects like bridge crossings and DOT corridors, Multi-Duct conduit is usually the better spec. For standard underground fiber runs without high-density requirements, individual PVC or HDPE conduit may be sufficient.

Yes. FTTH is the primary application for our Micro-Com Micro-Duct conduit. The high-density bundle profile gives each home or service drop its own dedicated fiber path, allowing providers to activate service in phases as customers come online. Micro-Com is BABA compliant and qualifies for BEAD Program-funded broadband builds.

Our Micro-Com Micro-Duct conduit is available in standard high-density bundle configurations. Typical options include 7-way, 12-way, and 19-way bundles. Custom configurations are available on request for projects with specific pathway counts or duct sizing requirements. Contact our team to confirm the right configuration for your project.

Yes. Every OMNI product is fully Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliant, qualifying them for use in federally funded infrastructure projects, including projects funded through IIJA and the BEAD Program.

Micro-Duct conduit is installed by direct burial, plowing, or horizontal directional drilling (HDD), depending on project conditions. The compact bundle profile fits applications where trench space is limited, and continuous-reel lengths reduce splicing on long runs. For project-specific installation guidance, contact our technical team.

Standard Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit configurations vary by project scope. Contact our team to confirm timing directly. Custom configurations and large-volume orders should be discussed with our engineering team early in your project schedule. For urgent requirements, call us directly.
