Our Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit is a high-density system that bundles multiple small-diameter HDPE ducts together so individual fiber strands or small fiber bundles can be pulled into their own dedicated path. The compact bundle profile reduces trench size and pulls more fiber capacity through tighter installation conditions than traditional individual conduit.
OMNI's Micro-Com® Micro-Duct conduit system is engineered specifically for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), last-mile, and dense urban fiber builds where space is constrained and project schedules are tight. Each duct in the bundle accepts a fiber pull independently, giving installers flexibility to deploy fiber in phases as service demand grows.

What is Micro-Duct conduit?
Micro-Duct conduit is a high-density bundled-duct system that combines multiple small-diameter HDPE ducts into a single compact run, typically using 7-, 12-, or 19-way pathways. Each duct accepts a fiber pull independently, making Micro-Duct conduit ideal for fiber-to-the-home and last-mile applications. We manufacture Micro-Duct conduit under the proprietary name Micro-Com®.
When should I use Micro-Duct conduit instead of standard or Multi-Duct conduit?
Micro-Duct conduit is the right choice when each fiber strand or small bundle needs its own dedicated path, such as in FTTH, last-mile, and dense urban backbone builds. For high-density backbone fiber and large-scale infrastructure projects like bridge crossings and DOT corridors, Multi-Duct conduit is usually the better spec. For standard underground fiber runs without high-density requirements, individual PVC or HDPE conduit may be sufficient.
Is OMNI Micro-Duct conduit suitable for fiber-to-the-home builds?
Yes. FTTH is the primary application for our Micro-Com Micro-Duct conduit. The high-density bundle profile gives each home or service drop its own dedicated fiber path, allowing providers to activate service in phases as customers come online. Micro-Com is BABA compliant and qualifies for BEAD Program-funded broadband builds.
What configurations are available with OMNI Micro-Duct conduit?
Our Micro-Com Micro-Duct conduit is available in standard high-density bundle configurations. Typical options include 7-way, 12-way, and 19-way bundles. Is OMNI Micro-Duct conduit BABA compliant?
Yes. Every OMNI product is fully Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliant, qualifying them for use in federally funded infrastructure projects, including projects funded through IIJA and the BEAD Program.

Micro-Duct conduit is installed by direct burial, plowing, or horizontal directional drilling (HDD), depending on project conditions. The compact bundle profile fits applications where trench space is limited, and continuous-reel lengths reduce splicing on long runs.
